My wife and her friend ordered the Coastal Salad (photo), my buddy had the Hearts of Palm and I went for their great Shrimp Cocktail (photo) - large, chilled and with a tasty cocktail sauce. Jordan is a real pro who very much added to the enjoyment of the evening.Īnd yet with all that as prelude, it is Salt's food the takes center stage for the evening. The bar area, including the raw bar (see photo), just says "Wow." The crowd, on a recent Saturday night, added to the cool vibe.Īs soon as we were seated, our server, Jordan, was right there getting our water preference (bottle or tap) and drink order. There is a buzz, a look and a vibe that jumps out at you. An 8? A Five is just not fair because Salt nails all three elements of what a Great restaurant should be - First Class Food, Great Service and Memorable Atmosphere!Īs you enter, it becomes very apparent that this is going to. Prices were quite high.įor us this was one and done. The noise level was fairly high throughout our meal. When the bus person was clearing dirty dishes, he piled them on the edge of the table near my wife instead of a totally empty table on the other side (if he moved to the other side it would not have disturbed any of us because it was empty - four of us seated at a table for six). ![]() Lastly our bus staff and servers were serving and clearing by reaching over us instead of walking around to the other side of the table. There was non-stop foot traffic and noise from them throughout our meal. Where we were seated was a major traffic lane for servers and bus staff. I had the sea bass and enjoyed it, but I like risotto. My wife had to choose a different entree that she didn't care for very much (scallops). She asked to change out the risotto to something else without chese from a sea bass entree, but our server said the restaurant didn't do substitutions, even for an up-charge. Our server was very good, personable and knowledgeable as well as pleasant. We were slightly early for our reservation time, but then they finally seated us at a table that was empty since we walked in.
